The need for a resource, tool or guide for writing policies, procedures and protocols emerged from the increasing number of requests for guidance, and from the work of NACTHPC, the Prince of Wales’s Foundation for Integrated Health, the National Council for Palliative Care and the RCN Complementary Therapies Forum.
This guide provides templates for writing policies, procedures and protocols, to the extent that this is possible, as well as a number of examples of these documents from a variety of organisations – hospices, hospitals and cancer support centres.
